What is Subtle Energy Yoga?

Rooted in Energy Medicine, Evolving Through Experience

Subtle Energy Yoga was born out of my desire to bring together two passions I had long kept separate, yoga and energy medicine. It is an ever-evolving practice, continually shaped by my own yoga training and studies in a range of energy medicine modalities.

 

During this shift in direction, I was delighted to discover Energy Medicine Yoga®, and become a Certified Energy Medicine Yoga® Teacher. In this powerful approach classic yoga postures are interwoven with ancient traditional healing modalities including working with the meridian system, tapping, self-massage, holds to calm and regulate the body’s stress responses, and much more. These techniques are your gateway to communicating with the body in its own language, activating its natural healing intelligence. By focusing on your body as pure energy, you are empowered to transform and flow through life, radiant and vibrant.

The integration of yoga, subtle energy practices, and diverse healing traditions creates a multidimensional approach that is both deeply therapeutic and profoundly accessible, supporting your body, mind, and spirit in returning to flow, balance, and vitality.

At The Subtle Way, we don’t compartmentalize, you are not a body with energy, or energy with a body. You are a unified field of consciousness expressed through both subtle and physical form. The physical is simply the densest aspect of your energy in motion.

This unique practice works directly with the body’s energetic architecture—including the chakras, nadis, meridians, and auric field—to support healing and energetic coherence. You’ll also learn techniques that stimulate neurolymphatic and neurovascular reflex points, helping to regulate your nervous system, enhance detoxification, and promote emotional release and immune function.

Subtle Energy Yoga blends gentle movement, breathwork, tapping, sweeping, energy tracing, deep relaxation, and guided energy healing activations and meditations. These techniques help harmonise internal and external energy flows, enhancing physiological health and energetic resilience.

 

Accessible, Adaptive, and Trauma-Informed

Healing is deeply personal, and not always linear. Subtle Energy Yoga is designed with accessibility and trauma-awareness, offering a space where all of you is welcome. In particular, you’ll find gentle mat, chair, and even bed-based in the online programs, that help you reconnect, restore, and move in a way that honours your current capacity.

 

We recognise that trauma, whether physical, emotional, or energetic, can shape how we experience our bodies, movement, and even stillness. That’s why every session is offered with sensitivity, choice, and gentle pacing, supporting you to reconnect with yourself safely and at your own rhythm. The emphasis is on tuning in, not pushing through.
