It has always known. Which relationships drain you and which restore you. Which decisions align with who you truly are and which slowly erode you. What is yours and what belongs to someone else. What is true and what is simply what you have been told to believe.
The problem is rarely that the voice isn't there. The problem is the noise.
Other people's opinions living rent free in your head. A self-image shaped more by how others see you than by who you actually are. A spiritual life filtered through what you have been told you are allowed to believe, experience, or receive. The constant low hum of self-doubt that makes you second guess what you know, distrust what you see, and look outward for confirmation of what was already clear within.
