Subtle Energy Yoga Practice to Reground after Concussion

Updated: May 23

Have you ever felt spacey, disconnected, or like your body isn’t quite your own? These sensations are common after a concussion or during periods of deep stress—and they can be unsettling.

Recently, my Mum experienced a concussion. As she navigated her recovery, she shared that she was feeling ungrounded, foggy, and emotionally unsettled. This inspired me to create a gentle, chair yoga to reground after concussion practice to help her reconnect with her body and support her healing.

Today, I’m sharing that session with you.

Why use Yoga to Reground After Concussion?

After a head injury or trauma, the nervous system can remain in a heightened state of alert—often making it hard to feel calm, present, or balanced. Grounding practices help shift the body into a state of rest and repair. They bring awareness back to physical sensation, slow the breath, and invite a sense of inner stability.

This Chair Yoga to Reground After Concussion practice is specifically designed to support:

  • Reconnection with the body and breath

  • Grounding through gentle movement and stillness

  • Calming the nervous system

  • Reducing sensory overwhelm

  • Supporting emotional regulation

It’s slow, mindful, and completely accessible—especially for those in acute recovery or managing low energy. No experience with yoga is necessary.

Using Subtle Energy Techniques blended with Yoga gently supports healing on all levels—physical, emotional, mental, and energetic. It’s not about pushing or performing; it’s about listening inward and restoring balance.

This approach is ideal when your system is tender or sensitive—like after a concussion, during a flare-up, or when you're simply feeling overwhelmed and depleted.

Whether you're recovering from a concussion or simply navigating the intensity of daily life, grounding practices can offer a powerful return to presence. I hope this session supports you in feeling a little more steady, and a little more clear.

With love and subtle energy,

Anna
