Subtle Energy Yoga for Overwhelm: A Practice to Slow Down, Soften, and Regulate

If you’ve been feeling emotionally overwhelmed—tired, wired, and unable to settle—you’re not alone.

Emotional overwhelm can creep in quietly or crash in suddenly. Whether it's from chronic stress, illness, trauma, or a season of life that's simply too much, the effects on our body and nervous system are real. We can feel flooded, disconnected, or like we’re carrying more than we can hold.

In these moments, the last thing we need is pressure to “do more.” What we need is a soft place to land—a space where we can gently come back to ourselves, without force or expectation.

That’s what this Subtle Energy Yoga practice is designed to offer.

Why Subtle Energy Yoga?

Subtle Energy Yoga isn’t a performance. It’s a healing approach that blends energy medicine with gentle movement, breath, and rest. The focus is less on stretching your body and more on supporting your energy system and nervous system—clearing stuck patterns, calming overwhelm, and re-establishing flow.

When we’re emotionally overwhelmed, our energy field contracts. We may feel scattered or numb, unable to find stillness or clarity. Subtle energy practices help us shift that state—not by bypassing emotions, but by moving through them with support, safety, and compassion.

What You’ll Experience in This Practice

In this video, we move slowly and intuitively. You’ll be guided through:

  • Moments of stillness to simply be—without pressure to “fix” anything

  • Energetic holds to help regulate your nervous system

  • Gentle movements that work with your meridians and energy flow

  • Awareness of breath and the present moment

This is a space where you can pause, breathe, and begin to soften what feels heavy. An invitation to slow down, reconnect, and remember the quiet strength that lives within you. It’s not about getting it right—it’s about allowing your energy to shift in the smallest, most meaningful of ways.

I hope it meets you gently.

With care,

Anna
